Exploration & Discovery

Just wanted to let everyone know about the new things Janna has been up to lately. For one, she likes to suck on her bottom lip. I think she likes the gurggly noise it makes, which would explain all the new gurggly sounds she's started making. It's pretty cute to see her excitement when she discovers new noises to make.
Janna really enjoys touching, feeling, and grasping things with her hands. Through such exploration she is becoming quite the expert at putting her pacifier into her mouth on her own. Of course this process still involves a lot of trial and error, but she improves her accuracy and speed each time. I suppose it won't be long until she's popping it in her mouth without a thought.
Janna also likes tummy time, but frustration sets in after a while. It's tough work holding a head up. She would usually just face plant when her energy ran out, but now she's finally starting to figure out that she can turn her head to the side and lay it down to rest a moment. She's also working on trying to roll back over from her tummy to her back. She likes to use her head for momentum and has managed success twice!
Janna has begun to figure out that legs are good for other things than just flailing around. When we hold her in our laps or just above the floor she'll stiffen up her legs and put a little weight on them.
Finally, my favorite, laughing. We have gotten a laugh or two from Janna before, but lately she really seems to find things funny. She'll just start laughing and there's a little grunt to it, and it's the sweetest thing!
