Eddy left for his Annual Tour not long after and Gigi (Mom/Betty) came in his stead. She spent lots of time playing with Janna, which included plenty of Kindermusik, as well as trying to get Janna to hold her own bottle (which she’s fairly good at, but doesn’t seem interested enough to really feed herself…looking into a handled cup). Gigi also made Janna an adorable little outfit while she was here.

All the while, Janna has continued to work on her rolling and movement skills. She finds her way all around the living room making happy noises as she goes. On the 19th, Janna decided to expand her happy noises to include ‘da-da.’ At first we weren’t even sure if that was what she had said, but we were soon certain as she began repeating it over and over the rest of the day. Janna has since added ‘ba’ and other squeals of delight.
On a more somber note, my granddad died on the 26th. So, we loaded into the car and made the trek to Virginia. However, in the midst of sadness there can be joy and gladness. We had an enjoyable time visiting with family and passing around stories of Granddaddy. Janna was able to meet a slew of cousins, great aunts and uncles, and of course her great-grandma. She picked up two new states along the way (West Virginia and Virginia), befriended a dog, and took her first dip in a pool!

I'm sorry your Grandad passed away.
Janna is sooo cute. McKenzie is squealing with delight these days as well and talking my ear off :) I love my days! (except the teething part). I'm so jealous that Janna has so much hair!
