Summing Up September

I have a bit of "catching up" to do. The past week (as well as this one) has been rather hectic. For those who don't know, Eddy's Granddad died last Monday (9/13/10). We had to make a quick flight to Atlanta for the funeral, and return in time for my brother's wedding which was Saturday (9/18/10). On top of all that Janna had gotten a runny nose and cough last weekend, and it's been lingering. Today, we took her to the doctor and found she has a slight ear infection, which explains why she had such a tough time during our descent into St. Louis thursday. Phew!
All that aside, I thought everyone might like a recap of what we've been up to this month.

At the beginning of September, I watched a friend's children for a week because their regular sitter was on vacation. Janna thoroughly enjoyed having to little guys to play with (Trevor 5, Joel 3) for a few days. We'd been having some cooler weather at that time, but managed to find a warm enough day to get a little more use out of Janna's shark pool.

Playing with Weebles
Pool fun with the boys.
Excited about the slide!

The past several years we've spent Labor Day Weekend with the Harbins. It's become an annual thing. Eddy and Jeremy must do their Fantasy Football draft together for the kick-off of football season.
We spent time at the park, hung around the house, and drove out to the Friye farm to have a picnic and do some fishing. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the fishing, but I do have some cute shots of Janna and Sara Beth. They really love playing together!

Ready for the bike ride home.
Cheesin' for Lauren's camera.
Finally, my brother got married on Saturday!! I can't believe he's married now. We're so excited for him and Charlyn. Anyway, Janna enjoyed her first time as a flower girl. Sometimes she was hamming it up and cheesin' for the camera. Other times, her out-of-whack schedule and not feeling well got the best of her. Enjoy some shots from the weekend. (For more shots other than Janna see my Facebook page.)

Oh! Funny side note: This first picture of Janna is humorous because she's wearing someone else's dress. I thought it was odd that Janna's dress would be longer after her fitting. So, mom got to work pinning the front so she wouldn't trip. Once we entered the worship center and saw the other little girl (older and taller than Janna) whose dress was the same color (and that it was extremely short!) I realized she'd snagged the wrong dress. So we switched right there. Rather funny...also funny that they're upper bodies were the same size. This other little girl was so tiny. :)

Putting on chapstick.
I just like this one. :)
Making the switch.
Momentary freedom!
That's better, don't you think Dad?
Sweet girl.
Pic with Mom.
