Snowy Surprise

Saturday night, right before turning in for the evening, I happened to look out the window and see giant snowflakes covering the ground with a white blanket. I exclaimed to Eddy, "It's snowing!" Neither of us had expected the snow, and it certainly had not been forecast. A pleasant surprise. Judging by the size of the flakes and how much had already accumulated we knew it would be a decent amount. We were both excited for the morning to come because we knew Janna would be thrilled. Sunday morning, when Janna woke up, Eddy told her to go look out the window. Thrilled was an understatement. She couldn't wait to get bundled up and head outdoors. I snuck out first to get a few pictures of the house and then we all enjoyed the snow. Eddy soon remembered that the park near our house has an EXCELLENT sledding hill. This snow produced enough to check it out and give the hill a try. So, we loaded in the car and headed for the park. We were not the first to arrive, but there were only a handful of people out. We ventured out pretty early! Janna took the first ride and we all followed suit. We had a great morning together (well about 30 minutes before we were all too cold and ready to regain some warmth)!
