Another first for Janna today. She participated in her first 5K! :)
Back in December, Eddy's dad found out about the Bridge the Gap to Health 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon race here in Quincy. He said he'd like to come up and stay with us so he could run it, then he discovered the 'Family Pack.' Strollers were allowed, but those occupying strollers had to be registered. Thus, Janna was registered for her first race. So, Eddy's dad came up Thursday night and then this morning we all got up and headed down to the river. The 5K basically took the bridges across the Mississippi River to MO and back (thus the name 'Bridge' the Gap). Content to be pushed along by her Grandad, even squeezing in a nap during the last mile, Janna finished her first 5K in 32 minutes! A productive morning to say the least.
