May Day

Well, yesterday was my birthday. It was a pretty good day, however, this blog is about Janna so let me tell you about her day. She had her 4 month check up. She is now 24 3/4 inches long and weighs 15 lbs. 7 oz. She's getting to be quite a big girl. Unfortuantely, baby check-ups aren't just about measurements, as you all know. She had to get her next round of shots. I assumed it wouldn't be too bad because last time she got shots she only needed one extra dose of Tylenol and just slept it off with a good nap. This time wasn't so easy. Janna had a pretty rough day. She of course took a good nap right after her visit during which Eddy was able to take me to lunch for my birthday. We came home and I got a few good pictures of her (some of which I'll post here), but then the crankiness set in. After some Tylenol and a bottle, she took a good 3 hour nap, but cried and fussed in her sleep! At 6, we woke her up, received more fussing, but then we gave her another dose of Tylenol and a bottle. In about 30 minutes she was feeling much better. Even gave us a few smiles! :) She's laying on the floor here with me as I'm typing and is back to her chattery, wiggly self. So, here are my words of wisdom from yesterday's experience: Don't take your baby for shots on your birthday. :)

The effects of Tylenol...hehe, jk (I think I got her mid-blink).

That's better! Sweet girl.

One of the few smiles of the day.
