I was going to include another video in the "Mawmaw" post, but it needs a little more explanation.
Every now and then we get a box of goodies for Janna from her great-grandparents (Mimi Jo and Grandad: Eddy's grandparents). Her most recent package included some musical instruments, some pegs and and a hammer to bang on them with, a little blanket, and a board-book song book (basically a kid's hymnal). :) There may have been some other things as well, but that is what's coming to me off the top of my head.
Anyway, Janna always enjoys new toys and she really loves books. Occasionally, she has come across this song book and likes to read/look at it as she would any other book. She also brings me books during the day, sits in my lap, and wants me to read to her. One day, she brought me the song book. So I thought, might as well sing to her and show her that this book is different. I even pointed to the notes and words as I sang them. Ever since, she will sing when she looks at that book, and only that book. It's so cute, but she really seems to know and understand that this book is for singing. Well, I've wanted to catch her on tape singing with it, but whenever I pull the camera out she stops whatever she's doing and, of course, wants the camera. Thankfully, Mawmaw was able to capture her singing with the song book while she was here. Yay!
