This past weekend I got to spend the whole weekend away doing something I love...scrapbooking! I went to a scrapbook retreat at a nearby Christian camp with some friends from church and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I received digital scrapbooking software from my in-laws for Christmas. I'd been wanting to try this new form of scrapping, and it seemed like it'd be faster, overall cheaper, and more sharable with friends and family.
This weekend I really got to dive into the process and better figure out some of the ins and outs of the software...I love it! I finished 2 albums over the weekend and I think they look just as spectacular as the more time-consuming form. Plus, I can more easily share these...as well, friends or family can get the a copy of the album, if they want it, too.
I also wanted to see if it was possible to extract the pages in a .jpg format to print through a less expensive site (software is Creative Memories) like Shutterfly. It was rather simple to do. The only downside was that I couldn't extract the cover. So I had to make a new one on Shutterfly. I think I'll just make the covers as a regular page next time so I can extract them too. I've already ordered an album from Shutterfly, which should arrive tomorrow. I'm anxious to see the results.
Enjoy viewing the fruits of my labor this weekend.
