KC Fair & Summerfest

In mid August, the local Knights of Columbus hosted their annual Fair/BBQ. We took Janna last year and she enjoyed some of the rides. So, we thought it'd be fun to take her again. We tried some of the same rides as last year. Some she liked better, some the same, and some not as much. It was interesting to see her different reactions. She was also able to do a couple new rides. Anyway, she enjoyed herself so much that she was rather devastated when the tickets were depleted and it was time to go. She had enough of a meltdown that an observing ride worker gave her a free ride!

She has continued talking about the fair ever since, and especially when we drive by where it was located (even though the rides and tents are all gone now).
So we were excited to announce to her this past weekend that our church was having it's own carnival-type event, Summerfest. They brought in inflatable toys, had food (hotdogs, hamburgers, drinks, etc.), a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, little kid activities, a dunk tank, caricatures, and much more! Janna was thrilled when we pulled up to church and she saw all the festivities.
