Moving Forward

It's been a while...I've felt like writing something, but nothing was coming to mind. Then it dawned on me, we have some pretty exciting events on the horizon. About a year ago, Eddy and I started praying pretty earnestly about our future and where God wanted us to serve him best. In the fall, a few possibilities and opportunities began to open up, but we just kept praying, asking God that the right opportunity would be the only available one. As Thanksgiving approached, we had 2 major options before us. Both seemed like promising and exciting opportunities and we were so unsure what direction would be best. We continued praying and the seeking finally seemed to settle...
Saint Louis Christian College offered Eddy the position of Preaching Professor and he accepted.
Teaching and preaching are two great passions of Eddy's. In this role he will be able to combine those passions and put to practice what he's been studying in school all these years, as well as bringing his life/career experience to the table.
Speaking of study, Eddy will be wrapping up the final phase of his doctorate degree from Talbot School of Theology and graduating in May! Such a huge accomplishment. I'm so proud of him and his hard work. Though I guarantee he's not quite as ready to celebrate as I am. That probably won't come until they place the diploma in his hands. :)
May is a big month for our little family. Early in the month (most likely) we'll move to STL, and at the end of the month we'll fly out to CA to celebrate with family as Eddy graduates! Then Eddy will begin his new job at SLCC as Dr. Sanders!!!
