Skating Sensation

Last Wednesday, our MUMs group (Moms uplifting Moms) from church had a special gathering at Scottie's Fun Spot. Dads are welcome at these special events, so all four of us loaded up and headed over to Scottie's for a night of fun. Scottie's has all sorts of attractions: bumper cars, laser tag, arcade, skating, and ball-o-city. Ball-o-city was a huge hit for Janna. It's "an interactive play experience...combining multilevel platforms with a variety of interchangeable features including blasters, vacuums, cannons and buckets that [dispense]...up to 50,000 soft foam balls...[it also has] a spiral slide and a 3 person slide." She thoroughly enjoyed running around in ball-o-city, and I even joined her for a bit. We also let her play a couple dollars worth of arcade games, and then she told Eddy that she wanted to go roller skating! We had asked her about it when we first got there and she said no, but I guess she saw her friends skating or just decided she wanted to give it a try. She did a great job and really enjoyed a new first time experience!
