Janna has gotten her first ear infection. Wednesday Eddy mentioned that he’d noticed her tugging at her right ear for the past couple of days. She hadn’t been abnormally fussy, but considering that Janna and I are flying to CA next weekend we thought we should check it out. The doctor’s office worked us in on Friday. Janna was a pretty good trooper with her ears being poked and prodded by a thermometer and an otoscope (the little light thing-yes, I looked up the name of it). Don’t get me wrong, there were plenty of tears, but she was tough. Anyway, she had a fever and an ear infection, and we got some medicine. It’s pretty obvious now that she hasn’t been up to par. She fell asleep today in Eddy’s lap, which is abnormal for a couple reasons. She’d never sit still that long on a voluntary basis and it was a good hour before normal naptime. She’ll receive a little extra pampering and TLC for a few days, and will hopefully be feeling better soon.

A fun fact, I gave Janna some grapes a few days back. She loves them, but does a funny thing. She puts them in her mouth, eats out the insides, and then puts the outsides/skins back on her tray. Too funny, but I suppose she’s still getting some of the benefits of the fruit.
Well, this week will be busy as we prepare to make the trip to the West coast. We are extremely excited to visit my sister. We’ve got all kinds of fun adventures planned in sunny San Diego.

Poor Janna. Jackson has had several ear infections. You can tell they are hurting so badly and you can't do anything about it but extra TLC like you said and wait for meds to do their thing. Hope she is better soon.
