Friday night, Eddy and I wanted to go see a movie with some friends. We have several wonderful people who love watching Janna. However, we usually take her to their homes, and a Friday night movie requires someone to come to our house and put Janna to bed. We have discovered, unfortunately, that we really only know one teenage babysitter, who'll be leaving for college soon and already had plans.
So we called Uncle Jason, who also had plans to go camping with (soon-to-be Aunt) Charlyn's family. Uncle Jason suggested a brilliant plan (insert 'lightbulb'), "Why don't we take Janna camping with us?"
OKAY!
So Jason and Charlyn picked up Janna Friday. She clearly knew something exciting was happening and merrily told us "Bye" numerous times, while waving on her way to the car...while getting in the car seat...and while backing out of the driveway.
So Janna has now had her first overnight stay away from both Mom and Dad.
She had a blast, and so did we!
