I woke up Friday morning, optimistic about the day ahead...let's just say it turned out to be...AWFUL.
Janna was not very interested in taking regular trips to the potty, she'd get upset when she had to give up the videos after trying to use the potty (which we nixed b/c of the attitude - talking/singing/reading to her have been much better), she was having accidents all day, and to top it off she didn't take a nap! The only positive thing was that she happened to poop in her diaper during what was supposed to be naptime (less clean-up). I kept reminding her throughout the afternoon that she'd get a sticker for her chart if she peed on the potty, and once she filled up the chart we'd get her a computer (little kid learning kind). She was always excited about this, but to no avail. As well, I'd encourage her to try and keep the princess on her panties dry. At this point I was beginning to question whether starting PT had been such a great idea.
Well, later in the evening we had some friends over for dinner, and right before we ate Eddy took her to the potty. She peed in the potty!!! I have to say I never thought something like that could make the long, awful day better, but it did. She went once more on the potty that evening, and had another accident as well, but 2 successful trips made for a great ending to the day! Day 2 down. We'll see what day 3 brings.
P.S This is the 100th post on our blog! Kind of cool. :)
