Southeast Tour: GA Adventures

We've been on a whirlwind of adventures here in Atlanta. Wednesday afternoon we were able to try out the pool/island oasis that Mawmaw had gotten for Janna. I believe she enjoyed it, but was pretty interested in drinking from the little fountains. It was pretty amusing to watch her check out all the stuff on the island.

Thursday afternoon we did some exploring down by the lake/pond (depends on whether you ask Eddy or me to define the body of water) and fed the geese and ducks. Depsite Janna's generosity with the bread for one particular goose he suddenly got defensive and nipped her finger. She wasn't very happy about it, but recovered quickly.

We also tried out the BIG pool at Carol's (Eddy's aunt). Janna was a little unsure at first, but she liked the float that Mawmaw had gotten her. She did lots of splashing, and then got rather brave and tried to exit her float. From that point on it was quite a challenge to hold on to her and let her play in the pool.
Friday, we just hung around the house and played with the abundance of toys Eddy's parents have been collecting from yard sales for Janna to have at their house. One particular toy is a red car that Janna can ride and we can push. So, we also took a walk. Janna rode in her car (pushed by Mommy) and Mawmaw walked Ally (little jack russell). Janna enjoyed her ride around the neighborhood. For dinner we drove to meet Mimi Jo and Grandad (Janna's great-grandparents) at Cracker Barrel. We enjoyed seeing them and Janna enjoyed getting some more toys!

Today, we went to the GA Aquarium. Janna was certainly enthralled with looking at the fish in the tanks...when we could lure her away from all the "lights." She has a fascination with light so everytime she saw a light she'd get excited, run to it, and sign 'light.' Rather amusing. Janna also enjoyed making lots of friends. All-in-all a good time. Janna also got to visit with her Great Aunt Donna and her Great (or Grand if you ask Mark) Uncle Mark this evening.
A great visit in GA...tomorrow we head west to AL!

Heading inside.

One of the many fascinating lights. :)

Making friends.

Cute girl.
