Here's how I'm feeling these days:
*I didn't think heartburn was going to be quite so bad this time. It didn't seem to be plaguing me too much and I was hoping I'd have an easier go this time. However, heartburn is here with a vengeance! Regular nighttime use of Tums is a must. Looks like we might have a third baby with a full head of hair! :)
*My back pain was getting pretty bad for a while, which I thought was unusual considering how much time I had left. I had back pain with Janna and Luke (pretty bad with Luke), but all toward the end. Then it occurred to me that I was still picking up the kids on a regular basis. Eddy suggested I stop, and as much as I like to pick up the kids, I knew he was right. I felt great improvement within a day! That was a few weeks ago, but the pain is starting to ramp up a bit again. Ugh. Guess I need to be extra careful and take it easy.
*My exhaustion level is high, my energy level is low. I get winded often.
In light of all this, I wonder if you truly forget that much of your pregnancies, or if my stamina is just not what it was with the first two! I feel like a wimp! ;)
I was supposed to see my doctor this past Monday for my 28 week check-up. However, that crazy winter storm Ion, followed by the arctic air, forced many businesses to be closed for the safety of their employees. This included my doctor's office. I'm rescheduled for next week, and then I suppose my visits will become more frequent. I took my glucose test last week and am curious about the results. As well, I like updating my doctor on how I'm feeling, and of course LOVE to hear that sweet heart beat.
Still working on baby names! If it's a boy, I think we're set. However, if it's a girl, she may be out of luck. I cannot settle on a girl's name that I like. Either way, he or she is very active, quite similar to Luke: rolling, flipping, kicking, punching, wedging him or herself up under the right side of my rib cage. Must be a nice location. All three kids liked to get 'comfy' there. Since there is so much activity, Janna has gotten to feel the baby move a few times. She thinks it's pretty neat.
Looking forward to knocking out the next 12 weeks (or probably more since our babies like to be fashionably late).
