Tuesday, December 31st, 2013: Janna's 5th Birthday!
Hard to believe it has already been five years since our sweet girl was born at 11:56 am on the last day of 2008. Her life is such a blessing to us. She is compassionate, creative, energetic, and so full of life. She loves to dance, sing, and play. Her imagination is boundless and she could talk to you all day about what she's learning or creating.
Janna was, of course, the first one awake on her birthday. She bounded into our bed, grinning and giddy with excitement about her special day. We had her favorite breakfast, cinnamon rolls, and then started getting ready for her party. She loves going to 'the jumper' (Pump it Up - a bounce house place), so we started her party there. Several of her friends met us there and we played for about an hour. Then we headed back to the house for lunch, cake, presents, and more playing.
In the evening, we went to a local Mexican restaurant for dinner, her choice. After our meal, they brought out a Janna-sized Mexican hat, and dessert while singing a Spanish birthday song.
